About Eoin
A native of
Dublin, Eoin is a full-time music teacher, organist, pianist, and
accompanist. He holds an Honours Masters Degree in Musicology from
NUI Maynooth. He has studied organ with Peter Sweeney and Paul McKeever,
and piano with Leonora Carney. He holds Licenciate diplomas in both
instruments. He has been organist of Iona Road Church in Glasnevin, Dublin
for 9 years and previously played in Seabury Church, Malahide and
St. Nicholas of Myra, Kinsealy. In 1998 he was Organ Scholar in Adam and Eve's Church, Merchant's
Quay, and in St. Audoen's, High Street, Dublin.
Since 1997, Eoin has lectured in the DIT Conservatory of Music,
and also teaches theory, piano and organ at VEC Kylemore Music Centre
and Mater Dei Institute of Education.
Eoin is on the Council of the Irish Church Music Association
and teaches organ at their annual Summer School in Maynooth. He has also
taken part in master-classes in organ performance and improvisation.
